Crop images in the browser for social, thumbnails & layouts
A good crop removes distractions, fixes awkward framing, and matches the aspect ratio your platform expects—square avatars, 16:9 hero shots, or free-form regions for design comps. This page runs entirely in your browser: no upload to our servers for the crop step.
Why aspect presets matter
Social networks and CMS fields often assume specific shapes. A 1:1 crop fits profile grids; 16:9 matches many video and banner slots. Free mode leaves the ratio unlocked when you only need to trim edges.
Workflow
- Drop or choose an image.
- Pick an aspect preset (or Free), drag the crop box, then Apply crop.
- Download the PNG, or go back to adjust before exporting.
Privacy
Cropping uses the canvas in your tab—like our Image compress and Rotate image tools. Your file is not sent to toolit for processing.
